Saw this flying around in..two or three journals. :'D Let's see if I can do all 30 days. :la: If I can, I'll try to do Friday, too.

1.) Describe your character's relationship with their mother or their father, or both. Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?

Apollo - Biological Father
Being that he's a god and Rory didn't learn about him until she was 15 or so, she's not really sure what to think. Though she's never met him, Rory thinks of him highly and calls him "dad" or "Daddy", thinking it's appropriate. She respects him for his title and is thankful that he and her mother created her, but she wonders if he does know that she exists. That same worry settled in this past summer when a huge influx of siblings arrived in the cabin. At the same time, she doesn't mind them, she never had siblings before and cares for them all deeply. Despite this she still wonders about Apollo and if he does recognize her existence, but in recent events where she received her first blessing, she is warming up to him and coming to terms that he does know she's there. She really hopes to meet him one day, but isn't sure what she would do...except probably ask for a hug.

Hannah Anders - Biological Mother
While the two can seem like polar opposites in personalities, Rory adores her mother. With no father figure in her life, Hannah has provided both of the roles while also trying to manage a demanding, yet steady job. The woman understands her even when Rory herself doesn't even comprehend what she had done or said, which makes Rory think she's the smartest woman she knows (aside from Athena and her children, of course). Like two peas of a pod, there were no problems growing up aside from your average monsters-hunting-the-demigod-scent. Rory is...in some ways spoiled but not exactly since her mother, while trying to be there for her and give her what she needs, is also a borderline work-a-holic. She thinks highly of her and is also, at times, worried for the woman's well-being. Of course she knows her mom's not wonder woman, which is why she worries and makes a point of sometimes "mothering her mother". Ironic isn't it?  Thankfully with recent events and before she left for camp again this past year, Rory managed to convince her mother to stop taking every job opening at the hospital and just have free time. Moreso that she can get to know Austin, Thyme's father, better.

2.) What are your characters most prominent physical features?

Hair: Seriously, it's the hair. It's very rare to have a black kid be born with natural blond hair, and even so, it's a very light-toned blonde. Before her second power was unlocked it was just a random genetic thing that probably wouldn't have happened if Apollo wasn't her father. It's weird how the gods "don't have DNA" and yet they can still create a genetic trait in the demigods, like Athena kids having stormy gray eyes, or Apollo giving Rory blond hair. Now with her second power unlocked, let's just say it was for a reason AND that it was a genetic trait. It doesn't mean if you go cutting off her hair, she's gonna turn black-haired and loose her powers, she's not Rapunzel. :XD:

Eyes: This is not as striking as her hair nor often enough that people notice it right away, it happens when she wills it. Her first power, Foresight, causes her eyes to go foggy, loose the pupils and glaze over. The iris grows and swirls with gold in it while also faintly glowing. It's pretty creepy if you're seeing it up close, but if you're used to her doing that then it's no problem.

3.) Name one scar your character has, and tell us where it came from. If they don't have any, is there a reason?
Rory actually does have a scar, but it's on the back of her neck. When she was younger and full of that ADHD demigods are "blessed" with, she was playing around on the swing-set in the park and things had gotten out of hand. She was playing that game of when you swing high enough, you "fly" off of it. Only she didn't pay any attention of where she could land upon take off...and her vision power kicked in just as she DID take off.

Let's just say when she did land, it wasn't pretty. Even when she did come back to from the vision, she was still more or less woozy and wondering why in the heck was her hair bleeding. The kid she landed on was wondering why his leg was bleeding and why there was a random girl on him. Fun times. Fun times.

Another scar that she has is from CTF after blowing herself up to get away from Remy and to get to the flag. The scar's pretty faint now and hardly noticeable, but she scratches it when thinking about that day.

4.) How vain is your character? Do they find themselves attractive?
Rory is really too modest to be vain. :XD: She thinks she's average-and-cute but not terribly so to think that she's the best looking girl around or is drop-dead gorgeous. In a heartbeat she'll tell you someone's prettier than she is, which she believes is true, but of course she's also wanting to be nice. Sometimes she gets awkward when attention is focused on her. Only time she dresses up is if it's for something formal or she has to, but usually dresses for comfort and nothing more. However she also has some insecurities about her looks, such as her hair (especially) and figure, but in the end she just tries to brush it aside figuring that's who she is and it suits her.

5.) What's your character's ranking on the Kinsey Scale?
*had to look it up*

She's a 0 ...probably borderlining 1, but definitely low enough to be considered straightly-heterosexual. (You see what I did there? *shot*) She hasn't had much experience romantic-wise despite having one boyfriend before Freshman year ended (also the same year she first came to camp)....It was a happy relationship but it didn't last long. I think she's the type willing to experiment with the same gender, but then would go back to being straight. *shrugs* c: ...or not experiment at all. XD;

6.) Describe your character's happiest memory.
Letseehere~
Rory's happiest memory would be around the time she was 5.  She felt like an adult being able to wander around her her mom called her "a big help" when-technically-she-wasn't-but-hey-she's-a-kid. She enjoys seeing others happy and loves to brighten a person's day.

When she was five, she came with her mother on her first "Bring your Daughter to Work" day trip. All in all she had a good time, though she got a bit restless and strayed from under her mother's watch. Luckily she didn't cause much trouble but she found she was a people-person. Poking into different patient rooms and chattering with them (she provided more to the conversation than they did couldn't shut her up.), or hanging in the cafeteria and playing with the other daughters that came with their parents. It wasn't until she'd randomly would blank out and predict current things that were going to happen in a few seconds did she start a ruckus. A lot of the patients were freaked and Hannah decided that MAYBE that was the best time to go home.  This is one of her happiest memories because she's rather friendly and liked hanging around people. Plus, in her mind at the time, everyone freaking out seemed hilarious to her.

7.) Is there one event or happening your character would like to erase from their past? Why?
Hmm... So far (in my opinion) there hasn't been anything really bad that's happened to her that would be worthy enough to be removed from her past. . . Although I guess recently, she'd like to erase seeing two of her close friends getting hacked by the Camp Director's sword as though they  were nothing more than pieces of meat or little dolls.

That was traumatizing. :'D

8.) Day of Favorites! What's your character's favorite ice cream flavor? Color? Song? Flower?

Ice Cream: Either Cookies & Cream or Strawberry Cheesecake. Those two.
Color: She likes light colors, but tends to favor lavenders, yellows, and light blues the most. She also likes magenta or maroon--it's a warm feeling color to her.
Song: She doesn't have a favorite. She likes any song that's upbeat and has a good solo or two in it. Having catchy lyrics helps as well.
Flower: Sunflowers, Tiger Lilies and Daisies.

9.)  Who does your character trust?
Gosh this is a hard question. XD; Well, first off she does trust her mom a whole lot. That's a no-brainer. As for her friends, well, I think she's a bit too trusting (probably goes hand in hand with her fatal flaw right there). However the ones she does really trust are probably Umar, Thyme, Ange, Wendy. Concerning the first 3, she's known them the longest since her time in camp (Umar brought her to camp; it was also Thyme's first year; and Ange was going into her 3rd year of camp.) As for Wendy, she's hanged out with her the most out of all of her sisters...she also trusts authority figures like Theseus, Helen, and the Counselors as well. Mostly because they're in charge so you have to, and she thinks they know what they're doing.

10.) Can you define a turning point in your character's life? Multiples are acceptable.
Fffff toomany. Let's start at the beginning.
First Vision: Although I've stated before that she had foresight building in her as a child, it wasn't as powerful as it was when it finally kicked in all the way. Before, visions would only come in small glimpses and she would only be able to make out one or two things. Sort of like channel-flipping and you see part of a show, but it molds into the next? Like that. But when she was about 8 or so, she experienced the first full vision of many, which also terrified her at the same time. 8D; She didn't understand it fully when seeing it, but her mother managed to calm her down. What she didn't know was that she was foretelling an event that wouldn't occur for at least another 7 years, when she would meet Umar. But then again, if you were small and saw your future self running from a pair of giant Myrmekes and trying to keep your head, you'd freak too.

Claimed by Apollo: She does remember this, but it's a bit of a blur. All she remembers was her playing around in her mother's office, then was left alone for a bit before seeing a bright glowing light above her head. (Paula's Info: This is pretty accurate. However, what she "forgot" was that she considered Apollo's symbol as a friend and asked him to be her patient. <3)

Standing Up: When she was about 10, she managed to tell this one girl off. Now before I go into that, let me explain something here: Since she was 5, there was this one girl  named Whitney that somehow was always in the same classes as her, who..well..made a point of teasing Lil' Rory. |D; You know the one: Mean little girl thinks she's all that, sees fresh meat so she puts her down to remain top dog. She was also the same girl that made Rory dislike the nicknames "Goldilocks" and "Blondie"...the former, especially. Anyway, finally after a day where Whitney was nonstop with the teasing, Rory let the girl have it. She's not an easily angry person, but when she saw red....Whitney was also red. In the face, and arms....and legs. Rory tried to make a point of not getting that angry again, but with campers pushing buttons...who's to say? She's not going to get angry anytime soon, that's for sure.

First Monster Encounter near Home: Before heading into middle school at 12, she attended a normal camp that lasted for a month. It was pretty fun, they taught swimming, arts-and-crafts (she loved that bit), archery (this too), and other activities. Going into the last week of camp, a small dog came wandering into the camp. To everyone it looked like an overgrown (and ugly) puppy, but it was actually a small Orthrus dog. It was still a puppy, but dangerous and caused quite the ruckus. Having foreseen the monster coming to camp, she tried to warn the other campers to go home early before it came, but no one listened. Rory never went back to that camp again. |D; As for the campers, luckily the monster was killed by "unknown" forces, so they were fine.

Meeting Umar & Onward to Camp Halfblood: With her first year of High School coming to an end, Rory made friends with one of the new kids that enrolled about a few months before the summer break started. She regarded him as weird and a bit too old to be in high school (because he had a beard), but regardless, they became friends. His name was Umar, and it wasn't until a chance encounter with a pair of Myrmekes that were posing as an "odd" art-teaching pair, did she find out about Umar's true self as well as what she was. He, a satyr, and she a demigod. Of course, she didn't believe this, but was pretty sure he wasn't telling a lie when the ant-monsters were after their heads. (Remember her first vision? This it.) Lucky for them, Rory had already had her god-given weapon (but never figured out how to use it) and once she turned it into it's non-mist form...The two ant-monsters were history. When they got to Rory's house and told her mother what happened, secrets were spilled, questions were answered, and then wouldn't you know it she was off to camp. Her first summer was probably another happy memory (aside from the power-stealing monster), because she made some good friends that year. After meeting her counselor and sister, she met Thyme, then Ange. :la:

First "Monster" Encounter in Camp: This happened sometime recently. The camp director, Theseus, had gone off to find his daughter (and the camp's oracle) Middy, who had been taken by the mysterious monster. Claudia was also missing too, but thankfully her and Middy returned back to camp safe and sound. Theseus was still missing, so everyone was feeling rather tense. Then one night, Rory joined her two counselor friends, Ange and Praxis, out on patrol where they stumbled upon an injured Marcus and a group of confused campers along with Helen. A monster appeared out of the woods and there was a big fight going against it. Though she tried to help as much as she could, she did experience a few things that were very unsettling in her mind. One happened in the beginning of the battle, where the monster easily twisted and broke Praxis' arm and conked the girl out before moving on; It soon made a quick stab that was deep into Ange's shoulder, making her a Demi-Kabob. If that wasn't frightening to experience enough, she didn't realize until she turned her light on that it was Theseus fighting them all. She was...traumatized for a good while after that event. She's okay now and tries to keep smiling, but as for how she acts inwardly and sleeps...it's hard to say if this will go away soon.

11.) Is there an animal you equate with your character?
Either a canary or a golden retriever.

12.) How is your character with technology? Super savvy, or way behind the times? Letters or email?
She's pretty decent with technology. True, dyslexia doesn't help her when she's reading something online and has to take a couple of minutes just to keep the words from scrambling up, but it's not that bad where she has no idea what to do on the computer. XD Then again, ADHD doesn't help either because unless her fingers are moving enough so she's occupied..she'll get bored. As for mail, she likes both. Doesn't matter to her really.

13.) What does your character's bed look like when he/she wakes up? Are the covers off on one side of the bed, are they all curled around a pillow, sprawled everywhere? In what position might they sleep?
It's a mess. It is. When she sleeps, she tends to move about in her bed, either turning in place or just switching over from one side of the bed to the other "distant" side. But once she settles in a spot, she'll stay there for at least an hour or two...then move again. When she gets up, she tries to pat the covers down, but they're all curled up and the pillows are everywhere. As for how she sleeps, she likes to sleep on her stomach with her face on the pillow sideways (so she can breathe. :'D), with both hands under the pillow. Kind of like how you put a baby to sleep. If she does end up on her back while asleep, she crosses her arms and hugs herself. Her arms tend to do a lot to help her get comfortable. alskldksd.

14.)  How does your character react to temperature changes such as extreme heat and cold?
Rory hates the cold. Not that she doesn't like snow, she just hates being cold and needs to bundle up to stay pleasantly warm--sun child logic. As for extreme heat, I think she'd prefer that more than extreme cold, though she might get all sluggish from too much sun.

Or she'd probably get even more hyper. BD;;;

15.) Is your character an early morning bird or a night owl?
She is a complete early morning bird, hands down. Whenever the sun is up, she's up and usually pretty active once she is. The only time she'll actually be sleepy enough to sleep in through the morning is if she's sick or she had to stay up for a bit the following night. Children of the sun have to sleep too, mind you.

16.) Are there any blood relatives that your character is particularly close with, besides the immediate ones? Cousins, Uncles, Grandfathers, Aunts, et cetera. Are there any others that your character practically considers a blood relative?
Most of her family members live elsewhere, in either in Illinois or Northern Kentucky. But her and her mother do make a point of visiting them during the holidays or summer (which has now been reserved to holidays since Camp Half-Blood), so she's pretty close to those on her mother's side:
Papa Joe: (African American) Her grandfather and Patriarch of the family, he's pretty quiet but when he does speak it's usually either something funny or serious. He's more of a doer than a talker. He's been retired for some time but had previously ran a
Grandma Ginny: (Iroquois Native American)  Her real name is Genesse, but Rory and her cousins had a hard time pronouncing this (as well as her mom and her siblings did when they were young), so her nickname has always been Ginny. She is a bit odd and quite the talker, but is very sweet and usually has the best intentions for her kids and grandkids. She used to run an antique shop along with Joe's business, but is also now retired.
Aunt Lisa: The oldest out of Hannah's siblings, she takes after her mother at being a chatterbox and is, at times, dense. She's a stay at home mother with 5 kids of her own. Plenty of enough cousins for Rory.
Uncle Theodore: The middle child and son out of the siblings, he provides his fun streak to Rory and her cousins, since he doesn't have any kids himself. He can be defensive at times, but is usually always joking and kidding around. He works as a music teacher.

17.) What's your character's desk/workspace look like? Are they neat or messy?
Stay tuned~!

18.) Is your character a good cook? What's their favorite recipe, whether they're good or not? (Microwave mac-and-cheese applies.)

19.) What's your character's preferred means of travel?

20.) Does your character have any irrational fears?

21.) What would your character's  cutie mark be?

22.) If your character could time travel, where would they go?

23.) Is your character superstitious?

24.) What might your character's ideal romantic partner be?

25.) Describe your character's hands. Are they small, long, calloused, smooth, stubby?

26.) Second day of favorites! Favorite comfort food, favorite vice, favorite outfit, favorite hot drink, favorite time of year, and favorite holiday.

Comfort Food:
Vice:
Outfit:
Hot Drink:
Time of Year:
Holiday:

27.) Pick two songs that describe your character at two different points of their life, and explain why you chose them.

28.) If your character's life was a genre, what would it be?

29.) How does your character smell? Do they wear perfume or cologne?

30.) And finally: Write a letter to your character, from yourself.
