Description

Name: Josephine "Joey" Everson
Age: 16 (well...16 1/2)
Height: 5'5"-5'6"
Weight: 132 lbs
Personality: Grounded, opinionated, and random with an idea or thought, Joey likes to 'keep it real', which of course went against (at first) with her receiving a keyblade and the adventures that came with it. She does come off as a fun-loving person, however, and is a little vulnerable to games. Joey has grown up with some pretty bad experiences, and the way she has dealt with them is bottling them all up and keep a smile on her face....in a nutshell, negative feelings equal denial. She is out spoken, though, and will speak up if she has a problem with something.

Affiliation: The Academy
Ability Level: Student
Generation: 3rd

Weapon: Requiem of Nature
Object of Derivation: A plant fossil her mother gave her when she went with her to the Museum of Natural History for the first time (around 5 years old)
Ability: Nature (plants, trees, flowers)
Ability Description: As the abilitiy suggests, Josy has control the plants and trees of nature. She can make vines grow from the ground to either trip or bind her opponent, though they have to be within a 6 ft radius within her to do this, but the distance grows a little with experience (ie: when she first tried it, they had to be within 3 ft of her.) She can also make trees appear for hiding as a sort of barrier. However, she hasn't quite grasped this ability. Also, the trees change depending on her surroundings ( if she was in the desert, she'd have cactuses...cacti appear and other desert plants). So far, the vines are her specialty, but the variety of plants is steadily getting better in appearing.

Homeworld: New York City (Movie: We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story)

Backstory: Joey was usually left home alone; her mother was single (and never married, mind you) and often worked 'round the clock just to provide a better living for her daughter. However, most would say that leaving your child alone to the point where they've become independent since the age of 11, isn't really providing a better life. Joey didn't mind it, however, she liked having time alone...although one might think that she was probably passing this off as a facade, since she was also an only child.

One day, she decided to go to the local circus that was appearing in Central Park for the night. For some reason or another, she had gotten side-tracked and had gotten a little lost. Funny as it was, she's lived in New York City all her life and had only been to Central Park at least 3 times. Anyway, she began to notice that the shadows within the park were starting to glow eyes and begin to move around.

Shadow creatures were appearing around her, making Joey decide that trying to find the circus wasn't her top priority at the moment, and finding a way to lose the creatures was. The chase seemed to go on for awhile until she tripped on a tree root of all things, and fell onto the ground.

Just when she thought she was done for when the shadows were gaining speed, her plant fossil necklace began to flash and soon, a hude tree-plant like key weapon appeared in front of her. It automatically went to her right hand, and glowed for a while, as if to tell her to get up. She did, and without a second thought, she stuck it at the closest shadow. It disappeared, which made her smile and she kept striking her weapon at all of them, until they began to quicken their evasiveness.

Some of the shadows were close to her, so she tried to swing at them, but they weren't within a good striking distance. Instead, the keyblade glowed again and vines grew from the ground, binding the shadows at the ankles (or something that looked like ankles) and tripped them. Seeing this as an escape, Joey ran off again. This time, she made it out of the park and headed for home.

Months went by and Joey still couldn't get over what had happened that night in the park. She tried talking to her mother about it, but of course, work came first. So, on days where she was alone (which was often), Joey tried to make the keyblade appear again. She wasn't planning on fighting with it...she just wanted to just take a look at it.

It was one of those days that she was surprised to find a boy on her apartment's porch. Besides being curious as to how he had gotten on the porch without going through her home and her seeing him walk by, she wanted to know where he had came from.

He seemed about her age, but he dressed a little weird. Then again, his last name was weird as well. Steven Worb.

After a few minutes of talking with him, with Joey getting a little lost by some of his intentions of where he was going, she learned of some sort of place where there were people like her. At first, she denied this, telling him that she had no idea what he was talking about, but Steven stopped her.

He told her that he had been watching her summon the keyblade off and on the past few days. Before he even continued explaining, Joey began to try kicking him out of her house, threatening to call the police. Steven just shook his head and held out his hand, making a keyblade, one that was different than hers, appear in his hand.

Joey had forgotten all about what she was planning on doing, and watched him make the blade go away. She asked him how did he do that, since she had been having trouble to make the keyblade disappear after it appeared, such as last night when she couldn't make it go away and had to hide it under her bed so her mother wouldn't find out.

He told her about the academy again, and this time, Joey agreed.

Yeah...another OC character...and this one is basically almost a clone of me! :iconjawdropplz:

Lol, anyway this is for :iconkeyblade-brigade:, it's basically like Kingdom hearts except their worlds are from movies that aren't disney-related...(like Anastasia for example).

It's funny, she's 16 ( and 1/2) during the movie: We're Back! but when the movie actually came out, I was about 7 months XDDD

..and yes, she is wearing my Joey version of those elbow-length fingerless gloves I wear. :meow:
